The Flash (CBS TV, 1990-91) Central City Picture News Tabloid Newspaper

From the streets of Central City straight to your collection.

This is an original production-made Central City Picture News tabloid newspaper from the original live-action The Flash series (CBS, 1990–91), starring John Wesley Shipp as Barry Allen. A gloriously absurd fictional tabloid custom printed for the production by The Earl Hays Press, the kind of prop that dressed newsstands, desks, and the hands of Central City's citizens as the Scarlet Speedster raced through his one-season run.

This is not a reproduction. This is a genuine production-made prop, pulled directly from the Earl Hays Press archive.

Did you know? The 1990 The Flash series was one of the most ambitious superhero productions of its era, featuring a Danny Elfman theme, a striking Tim Burton-influenced visual style, and a budget that rivaled feature films. Despite strong critical reception, it was cancelled after a single season of 22 episodes due to high production costs and scheduling challenges.

John Wesley Shipp later reprised his connection to the character in the CW's The Flash (2014–23), playing multiple roles including Barry's father Henry, Jay Garrick of Earth-3, and even his original Barry Allen, the Flash of Earth-90.
