Did you know? Little House on the Prairie ran for nine seasons on NBC from 1974 to 1983, followed by three TV movies that wrapped up the story. Based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's series of autobiographical novels set in the 1870s–80s American frontier, the show was one of the highest-rated dramas of its era and remains one of the most widely syndicated American television series in the world, still broadcast in dozens of countries today. The real Walnut Grove, Minnesota, a small town in Redwood County, has embraced its connection to the Ingalls family and the series, and draws visitors from around the world. The Earl Hays Press produced the Walnut Grove area map and other printed props throughout the entire run.
