A map of the town where the spiders won - at least for a while.
This is an original production-made map of Canaima, California from Arachnophobia (Hollywood Pictures / Amblin Entertainment, 1990), the horror-comedy about a deadly South American spider that hitches a ride to a small California town with predictably terrifying results. Custom printed for the production by The Earl Hays Press, this map was part of the printed prop dressing that gave the fictional town of Canaima its sense of place.
This is not a reproduction. This is a genuine production-made prop, pulled directly from the Earl Hays Press archive.

Did you know? Arachnophobia was the debut release of Hollywood Pictures, a Walt Disney Company label created to produce films aimed at adult audiences. Directed by Frank Marshall and produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, it was a significant commercial success, grossing over $53 million domestically against a $22 million budget. The film is widely credited with popularizing the "horror-comedy" tone that influenced a generation of genre films and remains a cult favorite more than three decades later. The Earl Hays Press produced the Canaima town map and other printed props for the production.
